Pretty pictures don't equal healthy hair

There’s something I don’t think gets talked about enough…
It’s easy to get swept up in a jaw-dropping before and after photo—long, thick hair that looks straight out of a shampoo commercial. But here’s the thing: not every “wow” photo tells the full story.
I’ve seen too many guests come to me after trusting stylists who made their hair look good for a few weeks—but underneath? Damage, thinning, and breakage that didn’t need to happen.
Extensions shouldn’t be a trade-off between beauty and health. You can have both. But only if you’re in the hands of someone who prioritizes long-term hair health just as much as a seamless blend.
That’s why I always document my guests’ growth journeys—not just the install day. I track how their hair grows with extensions, because that’s what actually matters. Anyone can make something look good for the ‘gram. The real flex is hair that’s fuller, longer, and thriving with every move-up.
Before you invest hundreds (sometimes thousands) on your dream hair, ask yourself:
Is this stylist trained in hair health and not just hair goals?
Are they tracking your growth and customizing care at every appointment?
Can they walk you through a game plan to make sure your real hair improves under your extensions?
Extensions don’t have to be damaging. You just need the right method, the right care, and the right artist.
And if no one’s showing you the after-after, consider this your sign to ask a few more questions.
