Some people are lucky enough to have naturally thick and long hair. But if you aren't one of those people, it can be frustrating trying to find the right way to add length and volume to your tresses.
We've all had or seen bad experiences with hair extensions at one point. But there are ways to avoid these mishaps. The wrong method can leave you feeling like you waisted your money and potentially leave you feeling more insecure than when you started. Even worse, the wrong method can actually cause you damage.
Here are 3 things you should know before getting hair extensions:
1. Hair extensions should be colored with your hair.
Never allow someone to put extensions in your hair straight out of the packaging. For a seamless blend, that leaves people shocked when you tell them you wear extensions, it is crucial for both your natural hair and your extension hair to be custom colored to match.
2. It's high maintenance to be low maintenance.
With Natural Beaded Rows Extensions we have our guests come in for maintenance every 6-8 weeks, which to some may feel high maintenance. However the time the extensions save you from styling day to day make life easier!
3. Your hair should be getting healthier with each appointment.
Too often we see new guests come in with previous extension damage. Thankfully with NBR there are minimal points of contact with your natural hair. What does that mean? As long as you're following your at home care guide and coming in for your move ups within the 6-8 week time frame you should not experience damage whatsoever.
At Texture+Sage we believe that extensions should be seamless and healthy. Want to know more about what NBR can do for you?
